Were you recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, or have you been living with the condition for some time and would like to know more? Join the Emplify Health by Bellin Neurology team to learn more about the diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment options for Parkinson’s Disease. The Emplify Health by Bellin Therapy team will be present following the talk to answer any questions that you may have on how to maximize your safety, ease, and independence with mobility!
Emotional Well-Being and Resources for Parkinson’s: What wellbeing and community resources are available for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s?

Being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease can be overwhelming for both the individual and their loved ones. Come learn from the Emplify Health by Bellin Neuropsychology and Case Management Teams about coping strategies and community resources to better serve your emotional well-being. You will have an opportunity to visit with representatives from our community, including the Aging and Disability Resource Center, Options for Independent Living, and Curative Connections.

Multidisciplinary therapy services are often indicated throughout the lifespan of Parkinson’s Disease. Come learn more about how physical therapy can help address changes in movement and balance, how occupational therapy can help address fine motor difficulties and self-care activities, and how speech therapy can help address soft voice and cognitive changes.

Making sure these are well-controlled can make your other treatments and care more effective! Come learn from the Emplify Health by Bellin lifestyle medicine provider, dietician, and YMCA fitness team about how to maximize your health in these areas.
