Program Structure

The GBY Swim Team offers a structured approach for swimmers of all levels. Our year-round program includes two main seasons: Fall/Winter (August-March) and Spring/Summer (April-July). Swimmers are grouped into Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels based on ability, ensuring personalized development and challenge.

Pre-Team and Development

Our Pre-Team class is essential for new swimmers, focusing on technique and stroke fundamentals. Swimmers must complete Youth Stage 5 of the YMCA Swim Lesson Curriculum or meet specific swimming requirements. Progress to Bronze and higher levels as skills improve and commitment grows.

Beginner-Friendly Bronze Team

Ideal for young swimmers starting their competitive journey. Bronze team members train 2-3 times a week, building foundational skills and learning teamwork.

Competitive Silver Team

For those ready to advance, the Silver team focuses on endurance, technique, and race strategies. Swimmers practice 4 times a week, pushing their limits in a supportive environment.

Elite Gold Team

For advanced swimmers aiming for high-level competition. The Gold team requires commitment to all practices and elite meets, with rigorous training and high expectations.
